How to select the proper LED poster display?

Selecting the right LED poster display requires careful consideration of display quality, usage environment, budget, and maintenance costs. Below are the key factors and steps to guide your decision.

1. Define Your Requirements

  • Purpose: Indoor or outdoor? Advertising, retail promotions, conferences, or stage backdrops have different needs.

  • Size & Resolution: Choose based on installation space and viewing distance. Ensure the pixel pitch (e.g., P1.25, P1.86, P2, P2.5, P3) provides sufficient clarity.

  • Brightness:

    • Indoor: 800–2,000 nits.

    • Outdoor: ≥3,000 nits (to combat direct sunlight).

  • Viewing Distance: Smaller pixel pitch (e.g., P1.2–P3) for close viewing. Formula: Optimal Distance (m) = Pixel Pitch (mm) × 3.

Please ignore the color difference caused by different batches of products here, because different batches of lamp beads are used.)

3. Structure & Installation

  • LED Poster Display Area Size: Common sizes (640x1920mm, 960×1920mm) should fit your installation space.

  • Usage: One LED Poster used individually or Multiple pieces Linkable to large screen.

Individually Use: Each LED poster is used by itself, then it can be made with a cheaper control card, so to save cost.

Linkable together to use: If need to link multiple pieces of LED posters together into large screen, then the controller system will need to use powerful one which cost more.

  • Protection Rating:

    • Indoor: IP43 (dust-resistant).

    • Outdoor: IP65 (dust-proof & waterproof).

  • Heat Dissipation: Outdoor displays need aluminum casing or fans to prevent overheating.

  • Mounting Options: Wall-mounted, ceiling-hung, freestanding, or embedded

4. Content Management & Compatibility

  • Control System: Supports video, images, PPT, H.265, and 4K input.

  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi/4G/5G for remote updates, or HDMI/USB for local control.

  • Software: Cloud-based management (e.g., BrightSign, NovaStar) for multi-screen control.
